Simple

This job in Harrisburg was one of those that we thought would never end. Originally we were called in to do a gutter remodel. For anyone who's ever done that to a turn of the century Victorian row home, you know what we're talking about. After getting on the porch roof to assess the situation, we realized that the entire front of the building, including the porch roof, posts, and pillars would need to be taken care of before we could proceed with the repairs. We simply could not trust the structure to hold the weight of two or three men scaffolding and tools. Unfortunately for the owners cash was short and thier list of highly needed repairs was getting longer. Luckily for them they had hired the right people to take care of it. Brush Valley Wood Works is a partnership. Branden is a wizard with all things construction, and John is the guy to go to for all things outdoors. We were able to fit together a solution that gave them the results they needed for a price they could afford. This plan started with jacking the existing deck up and repointing the columns that held the whole thing. After that we were able to remove the lower beam and replace it. We then lowered the deck and raised the roof to remove and replace the posts as well as the upper beam and rotten deck boards. Tails were sistered to the old roof joists in order to fit a new facia board to them. We then removed all three layers of old roof and any less than trustworthy boards. The boards were replaced and a new rubber roof was put on.
